Inside Line Promotions – COLUMBIA, Mo. (July 12, 2021) – It has been nearly a month since Garet Williamson has been able to race.

Mother Nature has washed out the racing plans for the Bryant Paver Motorsports driver during each of the last three weekends. Williamson is hopeful for a reprieve this weekend when he invades U.S. 36 Raceway near Osborn, Mo., on Friday with the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour and Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa, on Saturday.

“I’m just ready to get back racing again,” he said. “It seems like it has rained a ton this summer.”

Williamson is eager to return to U.S. 36 Raceway, where he was a contender until a late flat tire during a race last summer.

“Last year we were running third and there was a red flag,” he said. “We had the left rear go flat with a couple of laps to go. I’m looking forward to returning to that track. It’s high banked, small and on the fence. I felt like we got around there pretty good.”

A return to Knoxville Raceway also offers another opportunity to learn at ‘The Sprint Car Capital of the World.’

“I’ve struggled there,” Williamson said. “The other half miles we’ve raced at we’ve been decent, but Knoxville is a different place. I’m getting more and more comfortable though. It starts in qualifying. You have to be nearly perfect there to set yourself up. We’re making gains and can hopefully take another step forward on Saturday.”
