Inside Line Promotions – KNOXVILLE, Iowa (July 5, 2021) – A unique opportunity has arrived for Brian Brown, who will make his NASCAR Camping World Truck Series debut this Friday.

Brown will pilot the Kyle Busch Motorsports No. 51 Tundra backed by Casey’s, Rowdy Energy, Whisps Snacks and FVP at Knoxville Raceway, where he is a five-time track champion – four in the 410ci winged sprint car ranks and one in 360ci winged sprint car action. Brown is fifth in the all-time 410 wins at ‘The Sprint Car Capital of the World’ with 53 triumphs.

Brown has earned a pair of victories and five podium finishes at Knoxville Raceway this year, including a runner-up result last Saturday.

July 3 – Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa – Qualifying: 5; Heat race: 5 (5); Feature: 2 (8).

“We qualified good and we ran fifth in the heat,” Brown said. “We started eighth in the feature. We got a really good start and were able to get into fifth really quick. I picked them off one by one. I got by Austin (McCarl) on a restart to get me into second. I felt we had a good opportunity to try to win at that point. I just wasn’t good enough to make a pass on Justin (Henderson). He did a good job. His nose wing actually broke and at that point I felt like it’d be a huge disadvantage to him, but he did a good job of making the most of it. We’re there to win every week, but there to learn also and I feel like we learned last Saturday.”

UP NEXT – Friday and Saturday at Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa

“I’m excited for the opportunity to race in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series on Friday,” Brown said. “Casey’s and Rowdy Energy as well as Whisps Snacks and FVP put a deal together for me to drive the No. 51 Toyota Tundra for Kyle Busch Motorsports. It’s a good opportunity for me at my best track in front of local fans. I’m looking forward to having fun. It’s a different opportunity and a unique opportunity of something I’ll probably never get to do again in my life. I want to run all the laps. If you do that you have a way better opportunity. I’m driving I feel the best truck in the field. It’s cool that Casey’s, Rowdy, Whisps and FVP are helping me run a truck at Knoxville.

“Saturday it’s back to my winged sprint car with the USAC Series coming in. It’s a really cool weekend for Knoxville in general. It’s an awesome weekend for the fans to get to see NASCAR on Friday as well as winged and non-wing racing on Saturday.”
