NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Cornbelt 150 little more than two weeks away

By Knoxville Raceway (Knoxville, IA) -- Knoxville Raceway announced today that Premier Chevy Dealers will be the Presenting Sponsor of the of the inaugural NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) Corn Belt 150 presented by Premier Chevy Dealers.

For the first time in its prestigious history, Knoxville Raceway will host a NASCAR National Touring Series event when the NCWTS races at the famed half-mile dirt oval on Friday night, July 9. The event will take place on the eve of the BRANDT Professional Agriculture Corn Belt Clash, formerly the Corn Belt Nationals, non-winged sprint car race which shifts to Saturday, July 10.

The Corn Belt 150 presented by Premier Chevy Dealers will shift into high gear Thursday, July 8 with NCWTS practice. On Friday, July 9, the series will host heat races and a 150-lap main event to see who will go down in history as the inaugural NASCAR winner at Knoxville Raceway.

Off-track, fans can enjoy a family-friendly event on Knoxville’s downtown square Friday starting at 11 a.m. A driver Q&A, hosted by Motor Racing Network announcers, will be held on the Cemen Tech Entertainment Stage in the Knoxville Raceway Fan Zone at 2 p.m., followed by live music with local singer Lucas Beebe. Grandstand gates open at 4:30pm, CT. A post-race concert with music from Punching Pandas will also be held on the Cemen Tech Entertainment Stage.

The Corn Belt weekend continues Saturday, July 10 with both USAC and POWRi War non-wing sprint cars and Knoxville’s winged 410 sprint car action with the BRANDT Professional Agriculture Corn Belt Clash.

Tickets are available for all race nights at KnoxvilleRaceway.com or by calling the ticket office at 641-842-5431. All tickets for Thursday’s NCWTS practice are just $10. General admission seating for Friday’s Corn Belt 150 presented by Premier Chevy Dealers start at $35 for adults (ages 13 and up). Saturday’s BRANDT Professional Agriculture Corn Belt Clash tickets start at $30. Children 12 and under are free in general admission all three nights.
