Bryan Hulbert – KNOXVILLE, Iowa (June 7, 2021) Taking an off-weekend with the Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series presented by the MAVTV Motorsports Network to test and tune the 360cid program at Knoxville Raceway, Dylan Westbrook continued to find speed in the Hills Racing No. 47x with the night’s quickest time in Qualifying, followed by a runner-up finish to Knoxville racing legend, Clint Garner.

“That was the best I’ve ever felt here,” stated Dylan of the weekend.

Laying down a time of 16.575-seconds in Qualifying, Westbrook carried that speed through his Heat Race. Gridding the No. 47x third in the A-Feature, Dylan moved into second on Lap 15 but was out of time to attempt a run for the lead.

“I messed up on the first turn and got stuck in third and rode there for most of the race. We got by [Jamie] Ball late, but Clint was getting through traffic better than anyone, but we felt good. We’ve been adjusting the setup every time we’ve come here, and the more we can run, the better off we’ll be during the Nationals. Knoxville, as far as how you race it, is the weirdest track we run.”

Originally planning on catching his Saturday’s weekly show at Skagit Speedway, the team is now on a wait-and-see approach as they spend the weekend working on their engine program. Depending on when they get everything wrapped up will determine if, and where, they race again before heading to the Northwest.

Dylan Westbrook is a part of the Canadian-based Hills Racing Team. The 2021 season marks the 17th year of racing for Dylan Westbrook. Starting with Dirt Bikes and Go-Karts at age five, Dylan has been behind the wheel of a Sprint Car for seven years. Four championships as Ohsweken Speedway since 2015, Westbrook made the jump to the Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series presented by the MAVTV Motorsports Network in 2020, earning the Brodix National Rookie of the Year.
