Dover Venturing to Knoxville Raceway Saturday in Search of First Career Triumph at the Track

Inside Line Promotions – SPRINGFIELD, Neb. (April 13, 2021) – Jack Dover is planning on invading Knoxville Raceway this Saturday when the track hosts its season opener.

“I think we have 10 nights on our current schedule at Knoxville Raceway not counting the Knoxville Nationals,” he said. “I think that’s the most since we ran there full time in 2007.”

Dover has visited the half-mile oval a handful of times each season during the last decade. His best run in the 360ci sprint car division, which he is racing in this weekend, is a third-place outing in 2011 and in 2014. He also earned at least one top five last year, in 2018, in 2013 and in 2012 at the track.

“I’ve won a lot of races at Park Jefferson and would have a shot at winning there on Saturday when the ASCS National Tour is racing, but we’re going to Knoxville because I feel good there and I want to learn more,” he said. “Plus, it’s about the only track in the Midwest I haven’t won at.”

Dover’s career-best result at Knoxville Raceway was a runner-up finish in the 410ci class during the 2014 Knoxville Nationals.

“Getting your car to rotate the bottom nicely is key,” he said. “If you can get it to do that on the top and bottom you’ll be pretty good. Finding that comfort level is what gives you a shot at winning races.”
