Inside Line Promotions – KNOXVILLE, Iowa (July 21, 2020) – Scott Bogucki enjoyed another efficient night at Knoxville Raceway last Saturday.

The SawBlade.com sponsored competitor set quick time, rallied from sixth to third place in a heat race and finished seventh in the main event for his eighth top-10 outing of the season.

“The thing runs amazing,” he said. “I was really happy with seventh because we’re showing constant consistency there, which is one of the things I’ve struggled with there. For a lot of the race I could see (Brian) Brown and the others. I was running sixth for a while and racing with Clint Garner for fifth. It’s the best car I’ve ever had there. It’s good for the confidence.”

It was a needed result after a frustrating night on Friday at U.S. 36 Raceway in Osborn, Mo., where the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour competed. Bogucki was leading his heat race when a mechanical problem derailed the remainder of his night.

“It was extremely frustrating,” he said. “It’s just the way it fell. We were in the fourth heat and then the B Feature was up. We were close, but ran out of time to get it swapped.”

Bogucki was unable to get the engine changed and start a B Main, losing valuable points in the season standings. He now ranks seventh.

The ASCS National Tour is off for three weeks, which will allow Bogucki to focus on his program at Knoxville Raceway. He will return to the half-mile oval this Saturday.

“There’s a couple of little things I want change like when I get in dirty air,” he said. “I’ve been looking into it to try to fix that. We’ll spend the next couple of weeks doing that and hopefully we can have a 360 Nationals showing like we’ve been having recently.”
