Harli White Highlights Weekend With Top Five Finish

Bryan Hulbert – OSBORN, Mo. (July 21, 2020) Leading early on at U.S. 36 Raceway with the Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series presented by the MAVTV Motorsports Network, Harli White ended her Friday run with a fourth-place finish before heading to test Saturday at Knoxville Raceway.
Racing with Hafertepe and Hahn for the lead at U.S. 36 Raceway, the battle shuffled White to third. Running through traffic in the closing laps, Ayrton Gennetten was able to work past to drop Harli to a fourth-place finish.
"We had a good weekend. I was happy with the run we had Friday. It would have been nice to stay out front, but I just made a mistake and fell back a little bit. After that, I was big picture racing and working to bring the car back in one piece," stated White.
Going to Knoxville Raceway on Saturday to future test and tune for the My Place Hotels Knoxville 360 Nationals presented by Great Southern Bank, White spent the majority of the night playing catchup from an 11th overall time in the second qualifying group.
"We moved forward, but timing in 11th with the way their format works just put us behind," stated White, who ended up 14th in the A-Feature. "The good thing is it allowed us to try a few things and work on getting through traffic. I would have liked to have at least made a top ten out of it, but the laps and learning experience of Knoxville are what we are after."
For this weekend, the team will be idle as they get cars and equipment ready.
The 2020 season marks the 13th year of racing for Harli White. Racing full time with the Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series presented by the MAVTV Motorsports Network, Harli will also mix in several events throughout the country when not on the road.
