Inside Line Promotions – GRAND FORKS, N.D. (Aug. 21, 2019) – Big Game Motorsports is tackling the season finale at Knoxville Raceway this Saturday.

Kerry Madsen ranks 11th in the track’s 410ci winged sprint car championship standings, but he is only 54 points out of the top 10 and 65 behind ninth despite missing multiple races at the oval this season.

“We’re looking forward to doing well,” he said. “We have a good package there. We know we’ll be fast out of the box. It’s a matter of starting up front in the A Main and we should be able to run pretty good.”

The KI Crossbows backed driver has earned two feature victories this season at Knoxville Raceway, including one during the Hard Knox Night of the Knoxville Nationals. Madsen has six podium finishes, which ranks second overall, along with one quick time award and one heat race triumph at the track in 2019.

The team ventured to River Cities Speedway last Friday for a World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series event. Madsen qualified 14th quickest overall before placing fifth in a heat race and 15th in the A Main.

“We weren’t too bad in qualifying for where we went out,” he said. “In the A Main we just missed it. The balance was completely off. I don’t know what we were, too tight and then too loose. We couldn’t make heads of it.”

Saturday’s World of Outlaws show at Red River Valley Speedway in West Fargo, N.D., rained out to end the weekend early.
