Inside Line Promotions – AVON, Ind. (Aug. 6, 2019) – The Swindell SpeedLab eSports Team took a pair of spots on the podium on Monday evening during the World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series iRacing event at Knoxville Raceway.

Kendal Tucker led the way with a runner-up result, only .733 of a second behind the leader after leading some laps. The stout finish increased his lead in the championship standings with only three races remaining.

“(I) was pretty good right there for the first 15 or so odd laps,” he said in a post-race interview with the iRacing eSports Network. “The slicker it got the more it went away. I could just feel it lap by lap when I had that lead. Second place is a pretty good points night. I was trying to be smart. Evan (Seay) was the car to win and I didn’t want to jeopardize a shot at the points. That’s my main goal at this point of the season.”

Blake Matjoulis rounded out the podium with a third-place run after starting 17th. He ranks second in the championship standings – 35 points behind Tucker.

“If I could have qualified and started maybe even 10th or so I would have had a chance to get the lead there,” Matjoulis said in a post-race interview with the iRacing eSports Network. “Third place, I’m not disappointed in that at all, especially from 17th.”

Teammates James Edens and Blake Cannon placed ninth and 11th, respectively. Cannon ranks fifth in the championship standings.

The next event is Monday at Williams Grove Speedway.
