Carson Macedo heads 17th Annual Beaver Drill & Tool Jesse Hockett 'Mr. Sprint Car' point standings as focus shifts to Front Row Challenge

By Bill Wright (Knoxville, IA) -- Carson Macedo continues to excel in the Jason Johnson Racing #41! His second place finish to Brad Sweet in Sunday’s Weld Racing Capitani Classic presented by Great Southern Bank has given him the lead in the Beaver Drill & Tool Jesse Hockett Mr. Sprint Car Point Standings heading into Monday night’s Sage Fruit Front Row Challenge presented by Musco Lighting. The event will be held at the Southern Iowa Speedway in Oskaloosa. Brian Brown (2014 and 2017 winner of the award) is second, followed by Terry McCarl (2009 and 2015 winner), Greg Hodnett and Gio Scelzi.

Beaver Drill & Tool Company of Kansas City is the new title sponsor of the Beaver Drill & Tool Jesse Hockett Mr. Sprint Car Award for 2018. The Vielhauer family, well-known in the sprint car racing community and owners of Beaver Drill & Tool Co., have increased the prize money to $2,000 for first, $1,250 for second and $750 for third.
