Inside Line Promotions – MASON CITY, Iowa (July 31, 2018) – Harli White recorded her eighth top-10 finish of the season with the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour presented by SawBlade.com last Sunday at Mason City Motor Speedway.

That marks the most top 10s in a single season with the ASCS National Tour for White, who discovered something more meaningful during the performance.

“We tried something with the setup on Sunday and we think we can run that at the 360 Knoxville Nationals (this week),” she said. “We did find the car was reacting better. It fixed our problem we were having at Knoxville Raceway where we were really loose in the center of the corners.”

White finished fifth in a heat race and ninth in the A Main on Sunday to move within 20 points of the top 10 in the ASCS National Tour championship standings.

The weekend got off to a promising start for White, who qualified eighth quickest out of 44 cars on Saturday at Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa. It was a vast improvement from the previous weekend.

“We qualified real good,” she said. “Eighth out of 44 cars was a great showing for our team. We just didn’t race as good. I made a few mistakes and struggled with the setup a little. Knoxville is its own place. You have to race often to be good every time you go on the track. We don’t race there enough, but we’re learning every time we go out.”

White placed eighth in a heat race before ending the night 21st in the main event.

She will return to Knoxville Raceway this Thursday through Saturday for the 28th annual 360 Knoxville Nationals presented by Great Southern Bank.

“First we have to qualify well,” she said. “That sets up your whole weekend. We’re trying to make the A Main on Saturday. I think we have a car capable of it. I have to make consistent laps, race hard and race the track.”
