Inside Line Promotions – WEST BURLINGTON, Iowa (July 31, 2018) – Kerry Madsen scored a pair of Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions victories last weekend.

The Big Game Motorsports driver claimed back-to-back wins at Jackson Motorplex in Jackson, Minn., on Friday and at Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa, before capping the weekend with a fifth-place finish on Sunday at 34 Raceway.

The action began on Friday at the recently reconfigured Jackson Motorplex, which hosted a $10,000-to-win show that featured 45 other competitors during Tony Stewart Night presented by ABDO, Eick & Meyers. Madsen set quick time during qualifying before finishing fourth in a heat race and second in a dash. That lined him up on the outside of the second row of the A Main.

“We got a bad start and was back to sixth, but I drove back up through there,” he said. “The car was really, really good. I could go wherever I wanted. I ran the top, the middle, a bit of everything. The top was the quicker line, but I could go anywhere really.”

Madsen took the lead on Lap 16 and never looked back. The victory was his first with the All Stars since February 2017, but he didn’t wait that long before his next triumph.

The Muddy sponsored team ventured to Knoxville Raceway on Saturday. Madsen qualified sixth quickest overall, but a third-place result in a heat race lined him up 13th for the 25-lap main event.

“I thought we had to get in the top two in our heat to have a chance and we didn’t,” he said. “I was like, ‘Oh, well just try to get a top five or do the best we can.’ We got a really good start and kept passing cars. There was a restart with 11 laps to go and I was in fourth. That was when I thought we could go for the win. It was probably the best we’ve had the car there. We hadn’t been able to get off the corners as good this season. That was the best from the center off we’ve been all year.”

Madsen powered into the lead on Lap 20 and he led the final circuits to post his ninth career All Star victory.

The weekend wrapped up on Sunday at 34 Raceway, where Madsen qualified 20th quickest overall and third in his group. He finished second in both a heat race and a dash before producing a fifth-place result in the A Main.

“We had a reasonable night,” he said. “We were running third and had a left rear shock issue pretty early. I was able to hold on for a top five.”

The race plan for this weekend is to be determined.
