Zearfoss earns podium finish during Living Legends Dream Race; Destiny Motorsports opportunity awaits

By Fully Injected Motorsports:

JONESTOWN, Pa. (July 31, 2018) - The “Jonestown Jet” Brock Zearfoss nearly attained his third victory of the season on Saturday night during his visit to the Port Royal Speedway “Speed Palace,” but came up two spots shy.

Zearfoss, driver of the Brock Zearfoss Racing/Moose's LZ Bar & Grill/Meckley’s Limestone/Central Builders Supply Co./Berkebile Oil Company/BAPS Auto Paint & Supply/No. 3Z sprint car, visited Port Royal Speedway for the annual Living Legends Dream Race on July 28, attempting to cash-in for the $10,000 top prize that was up for grabs. Nearly making that goal happen, Zearfoss finished on the podium during the yearly blockbuster, forced into an epic battle with Central Pennsylvania rival, Danny Dietrich, for one of three podium spots.

Lance Dewease earned the Dream Race top prize, followed by Danny Dietrich and Zearfoss at the final checkers. Zearfoss qualified for the prestigious event by finishing third during his respective semi-feature.

“We had a great effort on Saturday night at Port Royal Speedway. I have the hardest working crew in the pit area and it shows,” Brock Zearfoss explained, the 2017 Port Royal Speedway sprint car track champion. “We were close, just not close enough. Regardless, we’ll take it and move on.”

Effective immediately, Brock Zearfoss will fill the driving duties for Destiny Motorsports, a full-time sprint car operation based out of Indiana with roots in North Dakota, for the remainder of 2018. Formerly a full-time World of Outlaws operation, Destiny Motorsports has since scaled back and molded their focus around All Star Circuit of Champions competition in 2018, filling the schedule gaps with occasional World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series starts from coast-to-coast.

Focusing primarily on the Knoxville Nationals at Knoxville Raceway, Brock Zearfoss will begin his tenure with Destiny Motorsports during the first two weeks of August, first making a start at the famed Knoxville Raceway during the annual Capitani Classic on Sunday, August 5. The 58th Annual Knoxville Nationals will takeover headlines on Thursday through Saturday, August 8-11.

Destiny Motorsports will return to All Star commitments once Knoxville Nationals action is complete.

“I can’t thank Rick and Barb Rogers enough for this opportunity. I also want to thank my family and my crew for helping me get this far. This is an exciting step for myself and my career. I couldn’t be happier,” Brock Zearfoss continued. “I’m excited to get at it. We have a lot of work to do, but we’ll be ready. It’s going to be exciting to see what we can do together.”
