Inside Line Promotions – KNOXVILLE, Iowa (July 30, 2018) – Trey Starks will pilot a pair of sprint cars throughout the next two weeks during marquee events in Iowa.

Starks is set to kick off the action this Friday and Saturday at Knoxville Raceway during the 28th annual 360 Knoxville Nationals presented by Great Southern Bank. He will drive for Trey Hoddick in the $15,000-to-win event.

Starks will then transition to the Gobrecht Motorsports No. 44 on Sunday at Knoxville Raceway during the Capitani Classic before venturing to Southern Iowa Speedway in Oskaloosa, Iowa, on Monday for the $20,000-to-win Front Row Challenge.

Starks noted he will likely return to Hoddick’s car next Tuesday for the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour presented by SawBlade.com show at Southern Iowa Speedway before tackling the 58th annual 5-Hour Energy Knoxville Nationals at Knoxville Raceway the ensuing weekend in the Gobrecht Motorsports entry.

“We’re all really excited for the next week and a half,” Starks said. “Trey Hoddick’s equipment is very similar to our stuff with Gobrecht Motorsports so it should be pretty seamless.”

Starks, who made the Knoxville Nationals for the first time in his career last year, has confidence entering the upcoming action despite a frustrating ending to his season opener at Knoxville Raceway last Saturday.

The Gobrecht Motorsports team qualified third quickest in its group and ended third in a heat race to lock into the 15th starting position in the Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions A Main.

“We picked up a few spots in the first couple of laps before we were involved in a racing incident,” Starks said. “It doesn’t take much to bang wheels and get upside down. Even though the end result wasn’t what we wanted, I was really happy with how everything went. We had solid speed all night. I felt comfortable throughout the feature. The biggest obstacle is that we hurt that car so we’re starting fresh with a brand new car, but if we go off our notebook we should be pretty good.”
