Bryan Hulbert – SAPULPA, Okla. (July 25, 2018) Looking at a trio of race nights this weekend, Blake Hahn will see action at Creek County Speedway in Sapulpa, Okla. on Friday, July 27 followed by a return to Knoxville Raceway on Saturday, July 28, and Mason City Motor Speedway on Saturday, July 29.

“We’re looking forward to this weekend. I’m actually racing double duty on Friday night in wing and non-wing. Just trying to get some laps in without the win for the USAC show in August, plus we never pass up a chance to race close to home,” commented Hahn.

Racing Knoxville Raceway this past weekend, Hahn tested setup and engine combination with the team making progress despite a miscue in the Heat Race.

“I messed up in the Heat racing Wayne for fourth so that sent us to the B-Feature but we were able to win that and move on. We made up some ground and finished 18th, but we’ve always struggled at Knoxville. It races so different from anything I’m used to, that I seem to spend all my time fighting the car so we got some notes and ideas to try last weekend, and the car felt a lot better where I feel like we really have something to build on so this weekend is all about making our laps count”

Sunday at Mason City Motor Speedway, Hahn finds himself still within striking distance of the point’s lead with the Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series presented by Sawblade.com.

“Mason City is a neat track. I really think we can make up some ground there if we can start off fast. The draw has just killed us lately where we spend all our time having to make up ground, but we’re not going in looking at points. We’re going in looking at the win. To be this far into the season without a win, and still be running third in points, I feel like we’re there, we just need to finish the job.”

The 2018 season is Blake Hahn’s 16th year of racing. Starting in Jr. Sprints at the Tulsa Shootout, Hahn has progressed through the ranks with over 90 victories across Micros, Midgets, and Sprint Cars.
