Inside Line Promotions – MECHANICSBURG, Pa. (July 25, 2018) – Trey Starks will spend the next three weeks in the Midwest beginning this weekend when the Gobrecht Motorsports driver invades Iowa for a pair of Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions races.

The team is scheduled to compete on Saturday at Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville and on Sunday at 34 Raceway in West Burlington.

“We’re excited to spend the next three weeks racing in Iowa,” Starks said. “Saturday will give us a great opportunity to try to get dialed in prior to the 360 Knoxville Nationals and 410 Knoxville Nationals the following two weeks.”

Starks raced in Central Pennsylvania last weekend during a pair of World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series events. The action began on Thursday at Lincoln Speedway in Abbottstown during the Gettysburg Clash.

“We were off in qualifying and that put us behind for the remainder of the night,” he said. “You can’t expect to dig out of a hole that deep when you’re racing with the World of Outlaws and all of the talented drivers in Central Pennsylvania.”

Starks qualified 31st quickest, placed seventh in a heat race and ended 11th in the Last Chance Showdown.

He then competed the following night at Williams Grove Speedway during the Summer Nationals, which was also the make up for the Morgan Cup. Starks timed in fourth quickest and won a heat race to advance into the dash. A sixth-place result in the dash lined him up on the outside of the third row for the main event.

“We jumped the cushion on the first or second lap, which dropped us to ninth or 10th,” he said. “We ran there for most of the race before an incident, which spun us around. We did restart the race, but we pulled in soon after. That was a bummer to finish like that after such a promising start to the night.”

Starks was credited with a 20th-place finish.

The weekend finale on Saturday rained out.
