Inside Line Promotions – KNOXVILLE, Iowa (July 25, 2018) – Harli White is hoping to take another step forward with her development at Knoxville Raceway this Saturday when she will return for the second straight race at the half-mile oval.

“We always try to come to Knoxville a couple of weeks early before the 360 Knoxville Nationals to get our feet wet,” she said. “It’s tough to come here and be good. We need to make laps. We’re waiting on our new motor to come in so that will help us.”

White made her season debut at the track last Saturday when she qualified 22nd quickest, placed fifth in a heat race and garnered a seventh-place outing in the B Main.

“We battled some steering problems,” she said. “It wasn’t broken, but it was a little stiff so it was hard to hang on to. We didn’t have the best results, but the car had good attitude all night.”

White will return to the track this Saturday.

“We have to work on our time trialing,” she said. “I didn’t have a good time, but my laps were consistent. It’s about finding that extra speed that you need. You have to be spot on every time you go out and time trials sets your night so we need to improve there.”

White will wrap up this weekend on Sunday at Mason City Motor Speedway in Mason City, Iowa, with the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour presented by SawBlade.com. She rallied from 23rd to a 16th-place result during her debut at the track last year.

“It’s a good track and it was nice to go somewhere different last year,” she said. “Now we have some notes to go off so we’re aiming to earn a top 10.”

White enters the weekend ranked 12th in the ASCS National Tour championship standings. However, she is only 31 points out of the top 10.
