Inside Line Promotions – KNOXVILLE, Iowa (June 6, 2018) – Jamie Ball picked up his first 410ci winged sprint car heat race win and he produced a top-10 finish in the main event last Saturday at Knoxville Raceway.

Ball kicked off the action at ‘The Sprint Car Capital of the World’ by timing in 16th quickest overall. He then won a heat race from the pole position, marking his first heat race triumph in the 410 class.

“We’ve been spending a lot of our time gearing up for when the ASCS National Tour picks back up with Speedweek and goes out west so we chose to run just the 410 this weekend,” he said. “It was nice to solely focus on the 410 for a change. Our qualifying was a little off compared to normal, but we got back on track with the heat race and picked up that win.”

Ball started the feature event from the inside of the sixth row.

“We spent most of the feature between the eighth and ninth positions,” he said. “We fell back a position and crossed the line in 10th. It felt great to have some more success in the 410, especially with the caliber of competition on hand.

“Overall, I’m happy with another top 10 in the 410 class as we are just getting our feet wet with the top class.”

Ball has a busy two weeks ahead as he and the team will switch gears and take on the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour presented by SawBlade.com Speedweek, which showcases six races in nine days. The first two races are this Friday at West Texas Speedway in Lubbock, Texas, and Saturday at Route 66 Motor Speedway in Amarillo, Texas. Teams will then take two days off before contesting four races in five straight days.

“We are all geared up and ready to head south to Texas, Oklahoma and Kansas for our first ever Lucas Oil ASCS Speedweek,” Ball said. “It’s going to be an experience that my team and I are looking forward to. We have been running decent with the ASCS National Tour and hope to build off some good runs lately.”
