Nathan Mills to Compete at Knoxville Raceway in 2018!

For Immediate Release- Bondurant, IA- November 21st, 2017- Nathan Mills and Mills Racing to compete at Knoxville Raceway in 2018! A very motivated, 21-year-old, will compete at the Sprint Car Capital of the World, hoping to earn Rookie of the Year honors in the 360 class.

No stranger to racing, Nate has climbed the ranks since the young age of seven. Starting in Outlaw Dirt Karts, he ran English Creek Speedway weekly. Nate also traveled outside the state to compete at special events when his schedule allowed. He then joined the Iowa Micro Sprint Series based out of Iowa, and competed with them until 2016. With numerous track championships and wins, Nate turned his focus to a 305 RaceSaver Sprint Car in 2016. While Nate still had success in the few Micro Sprint events he ran in 2016, he also found success his rookie Sprint Car season with a 7th place in overall track points. Two years under his belt in a 305 RaceSaver Sprint Car, Nate is more than ready to make the jump to a 360-Winged Sprint Car.

“I’m very proud of how hard Nate’s worked. He’s paid his dues over these last several years, getting him to this point. From studying the best sprint car drivers to analyzing his own races, it’s helped him improve tremendously," Nate's father said. He added, "We’ve helped him with all we can, but he’s never had the best of the best equipment. He’s made what he has work, and has been successful. Now, he’s finally going into a season with top-notch equipment,”

"I'm really looking forward to next year. It's going to be a big jump to the 360's with tough competition. Hopefully we can learn a lot and put together a good year," Nate said very hopeful for this change. "This is the first year we've been fully prepared so hopefully we will be around for a few years. I can't thank my family, crew members, and sponsors enough for getting my team to this point," Nate stated.

Nate's mom mentioned, “I’m very excited for this opportunity for Nate. He’s worked so hard for all these years, and to watch him fulfill a lifetime goal is so neat. Ever since he was a kid, he wanted a chance to race at Knoxville. This just proves that you can accomplish a dream if you work hard, have dedication, and never make excuses.”

We would like to thank our loyal partners; Brick Street Market and Café, Jeff Obrecht at Mid Iowa Real Estate, Auctions, & Appraisals, Bondurant Auto Body, DKW Transport, Knight Electric, Miner & Hobbs Custom Roofing, Champion Signs, Quality Traffic Control, and Operation First Response. Also, thank you to all the family, friends, and fans who support this team. We couldn’t do any of this without you.
