Inside Line Promotions – JOLIET, Ill. (June 28, 2017) – Mark Burch Motorsports scored its first victory of the season last Saturday during a special night.

The team’s driver, Danny Lasoski, was inducted into the Knoxville Raceway Hall of Fame prior to the race at the half-mile oval in Knoxville, Iowa, which the team led from start to finish to earn the trip to Victory Lane.

“Being inducted was such an honor to me,” he said. “My father and my uncle are in it. I can remember as a young guy dreaming of racing there let alone winning a race. To be inducted and top it off with win No. 112 is pretty neat.”

Lasoski, who is the winningest driver in Knoxville Raceway history, opened the night by qualifying sixth quickest. He then placed sixth in a heat race.

“We weren’t that good to start the night,” he said. “We were eighth in points and they drew the No. 8 for the feature inversion so that put us on the front row.”

Lasoski led the distance to garner his 112th career win at the oval.

“Hard work pays off,” he said. “Mark has been working hard and getting the car better every week. We switched to Penske Shocks and it has been noticeable. The race car rolled around there pretty good.”

Last weekend began on Friday when Lasoski made his debut at West Liberty Raceway in West Liberty, Iowa. The team qualified ninth quickest to kick off the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series event.

“I don’t think anyone had been there,” he said. “It was an unknown. We drew the dead last number and ended up ninth in qualifying so it was a good effort. Unfortunately, the track conditions were treacherous. It laid rubber in the heat race and before it started in the main”

Lasoski placed fourth in a heat race before he picked up a position in the main event to end 11th.

Mark Burch Motorsports opened this week on Tuesday at The Dirt Oval at Route 66, which hosted its first World of Outlaws event in a dozen years. Lasoski qualified 14th quickest before he finished where he started – fifth – in a heat race to lock into the 14th starting position in the FVP Outlaw Clay Classic main event.

Lasoski pulled off the track early because of a mechanical problem and was credited with a 24th-place finish.
