Inside Line Promotions – WEST BURLINGTON, Iowa (June 12, 2017) – Big Game Motorsports and driver Kerry Madsen recorded a top-five finish with both the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series and the Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions last weekend.

The action began on Friday at Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa, for the first night of a World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series doubleheader. Madsen set quick time during his group’s qualifying before he guided the Muddy backed team to a heat race win, which earned a spot in the dash.

Unfortunately, officials penalized Madsen a row for being late to staging and then another row for allegedly jumping the start of the race. That made him start last in the dash and he picked up two positions to end sixth.

Madsen then gained a spot in the main event to post his 11th top five of the season.

“I thought we were going to start out front and contend for a win, but that’s life,” he said. “I think we had a car to win. We had a fast car and were in the hunt.”

The team endured a mechanical problem prior to taking the green flag in qualifying on Saturday during the event finale at Knoxville Raceway. Madsen then manuevered from last – 10th – to an eighth-place result in a heat race before electing to scratch from the remainder of the night.

The weekend wrapped up on Sunday at 34 Raceway, which hosted an All Star event. Madsen set quick time in his group before advancing from fourth to third place in a heat race. That earned a spot in the dash, in which he again picked up a position to place fourth to start the main event eighth.

“We got to fourth pretty quick in the feature,” he said. “We were looking pretty good to contend for the lead, but it didn’t pan out. It was a good run overall. It’s pretty good when you’re ticked off running third.”

Madsen maneuvered to a third-place result.

“We have a lot of big races coming up,” he said. “It’s a confidence builder knowing we’re going to be pushing for wins.”

The Muddy sponsored team will compete with the World of Outlaws this Tuesday at Eagle Raceway in Eagle, Neb.; Friday at River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks, N.D.; and Saturday at Red River Valley Speedway in Fargo, N.D.
