Inside Line Promotions – KNOXVILLE, Iowa (July 5, 2016) – Big Game Motorsports driver Danny Lasoski is back on top of the National Sprint League championship standings.
Lasoski charged from eighth to third place last Friday at Knoxville Raceway to garner his sixth podium of the season during NSL competition. He now holds a 73-point advantage in the standings.
“I’m very proud of what Guy (Forbrook) and the Muddy team has been doing as far as getting our car prepared to pass cars,” he said. “We’re getting our car better and better each race.”
Lasoski opened last Friday’s event by qualifying second quickest. He then advanced from sixth to third place in a heat race and was ranked as the highest points earner heading into the feature inversion. Unfortunately, the highest number – eight – was drawn, which started the Muddy sponsored team on the outside of the fourth row for the 20-lap main event.
Lasoski methodically maneuvered into the top five before he took advantage of a pair of late cautions when he passed a car on each of two attempts at a green-white-checkered finish to score a third-place result.
Saturday’s National Sprint League race at Knoxville Raceway rained out.
Lasoski and the Muddy backed team will return to competition this Friday at Cedar Lake Speedway in New Richmond, Wis., with the National Sprint League and World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series and Saturday at Knoxville Raceway.
Lasoski enters this weekend leading the Knoxville Raceway championship standings by 73 points with four points-paying races remaining this season.
