Inside Line Promotions – KNOXVILLE, Iowa (May 9, 2016) – Big Game Motorsports returned to Victory Lane for the second time this season last Saturday at Knoxville Raceway, where Danny Lasoski led the distance to capture his 108th career feature win at the famed half-mile oval.

The night began with the Muddy backed team qualifying fourth quickest.

“I didn’t run the perfect lap,” Lasoski said. “The race track had a lot of speed in it and on the second lap I had a driver error. I didn’t complete turns three and four like needed to. It turned out to be a blessing.”

After finishing where he started – fifth – in a heat race, Lasoski earned the pole position for the 20-lap main event following the feature inversion.

“That clean air made a difference in our race car,” he said. “I knew with the grip on the bottom somebody had to be really, really good to drive by us. I concentrated on hitting the bottom every lap.”

Lasoski did just that as he led wire to wire for his second win of the season at Knoxville Raceway. He currently ranks second in the championship standings and is only 21 points out of the lead.

The weekend began on Friday at I-80 Speedway in Greenwood, Neb., for the $10,000-to-win Dirt Classic I-80 with the National Sprint League.

Lasoski set quick time during qualifying before he placed second and fourth, respectively, during twin heat races. That ranked Lasoski third in overall points, which lined him up on the inside of the second row to start the main event.

“We’re still struggling when it comes to a full load of fuel,” he said. “We’re getting closer and closer. Guy Forbrook really made leaps and bounds with it from Friday to Saturday as far as the feel I’m looking for. It seems like it’s more on a razors edge this year and I don’t understand why.”

Lasoski battled within the top five throughout the main event before he posted a fourth-place result.

The Muddy sponsored team will return to competition this Saturday at Knoxville Raceway.
