Inside Line Promotions – KNOXVILLE, Iowa (April 26, 2016) – White Lightning Motorsports picked up a pair of top-10 finishes last Saturday at Knoxville Raceway.

Devin Kline opened the night by qualifying second quickest in the 305ci class. He then rallied from sixth to third place in a heat race before lining up on the inside of the third row for the main event.

“It was pretty much wide open around the bottom,” he said. “There was a little bit of back and forth, but for the most part there wasn’t much passing up front. We’ll take a top five. I’m still hungry for that win, but after two top fives the first two weeks we’re happy with it.”

Kline posted a fourth-place finish, which propelled him into the lead in the championship standings.

Jamie Ball also had an efficient night in the 360ci division. He qualified eighth quickest before advancing from fourth to third place in a heat race.

“I was challenging for second off the bat and smacked the wall hard on the backstretch,” he said. “I bent the heck out of the right rear. I was still able to get to second before (Clint) Garner got me.”

A six-car inversion meant Ball lined up on the outside of the fourth row for the main event.

“I got up to sixth within the first two laps and pretty much hung around seventh or eighth most of the race,” he said. “I ended up ninth at the end. We just missed it a little. We’re struggling to keep our speed at the end of the night. We have a few things we’re going to try to adjust accordingly.”

Ball is ranked third in the championship standings.

Both Kline and Ball are slated to return to Knoxville Raceway this Saturday.

SPONSOR SPOTLIGHT – The Hearing Clinic

We Listen, You hear. For more information, visit http://www.TheHearingClinic-DSM.com.

“Sara, Bryan and Cooper have been great supporters of our race team for years,” Ball said. “They have been providing our race team with custom-made ear molds for our raceceivers as well as providing Larry Ball Jr. with hearing aids the past few years. We love having The Hearing Clinic onboard again this year with White Lightning Motorsports. It’s family owned companies like them that help make our race team such a success.”
