Sprint Car 101: Remembering Cheryl Glass, Rajo Jack & Charlie Wiggins, February 18
Next Thursday’s free and open-to-the-public forum at the National Sprint Car Museum is entitled “Sprint Car 101: Remembering Cheryl Glass, Rajo Jack & Charlie Wiggins.” The program, to be hosted by former educator Laci White and historian Larry Ball, Jr., will start at 7 p.m. on the museum’s second floor. It will conclude with the screening of Todd Gould’s documentary “For Gold & Glory.”
Laci White said today, “I can’t thank Tom Toutz enough for planting the seed with us to present this type of program during Black History Month. I also want to thank photographer John Mahoney for providing us with some photos of the late Cheryl Glass, and attorney Larry Ball, Jr., for making the presentation on both Charlie Wiggins and Rajo Jack. Finally, I want to thank Clayton Taylor at WFYI Public Media in Indianapolis for allowing us to screen Todd Gould’s award-winning film. This is going to be a fun night where we celebrate the lives of three black sprint car racers.”
