AFTER NIGHT SIX, SAMMY SWINDELL STILL LEADS THE 2015 COX DESIGN IOWA SPEED WEEK POINTS

Following the first preliminary RacingJunk.com-sponsored night of the FVP Knoxville Nationals, presented by Casey’s General Stores, Sammy Swindell of Tennessee continues to lead the 2015 Cox Design & Metal Fabrication Iowa Speed Week point standings. Night number seven is Thursday, August 13, with the second Lucas Oil-sponsored preliminary night of the FVP Knoxville Nationals, presented by Casey’s General Stores, at the famed Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville. Sammy Swindell, Danny Lasoski and Brian Brown will all compete on Thursday night, strengthening their respective ‘top three’ point positions.

The unofficial top fifteen in the 2015 Cox Design Iowa Speed Week points after six nights is as follows: 1., Sammy Swindell, 186 points; 2., Danny Lasoski, 183 points; 3., Brian Brown, 168 points; 4., Wayne Johnson, 166 points; 5., Bryan Clauson, 159 points; 6., Ian Madsen, 156 points; 7., Justin Henderson, 150 points; 8., Terry McCarl, 147 points; 9., Paul McMahan, 138 points; 10., Sheldon Haudenschild, 133 points; 11., Aaron Reutzel, 127 points; 12., Tony Schilling, 125 points; 13., Davey Heskin, 122 points; 14., Jon Agan, 112 points; 15., Bronson Maeschen, 106 points.

This year, the Cox Design & Metal Fabrication Iowa Speed Week includes nine points-paying sprint car feature races in ten days, August 6-15, between the Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville and the Southern Iowa Speedway in Oskaloosa. The top three places pay $2,500, $1,000, and $500, respectively, with the winner declared the Jesse Hockett “Mr. Sprint Car” titlist.
