Inside Line Promotions – NEW RICHMOND, Wis. (July 13, 2015) – Big Game Motorsports added a pair of podium finishes last weekend.

Danny Lasoski powered the Muddy backed team to a third-place result during an FVP National Sprint League event on Friday at Park Jefferson International Speedway in Jefferson, S.D., before wrapping up the weekend with a third-place finish on Sunday at Cedar Lake Speedway with the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series.

It gives the team eight straight podium finishes and 19 top fives in 27 races this season.

“Our goal is to win races, but podium finishes aren’t a bad thing,” Lasoski said.

Last weekend kicked off on Friday with Lasoski setting quick time during qualifying at Park Jefferson International Speedway. He then finished fifth in a heat race to earn a spot in the dash, where the Muddy sponsored sprint car placed third. That lined the team up on the inside of the second row for the main event.

“I started third in the main and at one time in traffic we might have had an opportunity to make something happen, but the two leaders were setting a good pace,” he said. “We showed up with a brand new race car and had to work a couple bugs out, which ultimately we did.”

Lasoski was in a heated battle with Mark Dobmeier for the runner-up position during the second half of the race when the two made contact exiting turn four.

“We got beside (Dobmeier) coming off of four,” Lasoski said. “I don’t know if he turned left or got loose. I lost him in the right side of the wing. The next thing I knew I got hit in the right front. I was wide open. It spun me around twice before I knew what was going on. I got on the gas harder to spin the wheels because I didn’t want it to dig in.”

Lasoski spun around twice and kept the car going to maintain his third-place position, which is where he ended the feature to boost his FVP National Sprint League championship standings lead to 383 points.

The weekend concluded on Sunday at Cedar Lake Speedway, where Lasoski timed in seventh quickest and finished where he started – second – in a heat race to garner the ninth starting position for the 35-lap feature.

“It was a really good race track during the main event,” he said. “You could run the top to bottom. We never got in hard lapped traffic to see if we had anything. We had a race car that could move around and we worked our way to third.”

It marked Lasoski’s eighth top five of the season with the World of Outlaws.

Saturday’s race at Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa, was cancelled because of rain. Big Game Motorsports will return to the half-mile oval this Saturday.
