Three Special Events Coming Up This Summer for Big Al Kids & Motorsports Foundation
Inside Line Promotions – ARLINGTON, Wash. (June 24, 2015) – Several events are on tap for the Big Al Kids & Motorsports Foundation this summer.
The foundation, which was created to provide motor sports trips and racing opportunities for children battling life-threatening conditions and illnesses, will host a pinewood derby in Washington next month and one during the famed Knoxville Nationals in mid-August.
“It is always a great time for everyone to hang out and have fun with a friendly competition,” Big Al Kids & Motorsports Foundation Founder Al Tschider said. “I’m grateful for the support of everyone at Evergreen and in Knoxville and I’m looking forward to those great events.”
Evergreen Speedway in Monroe, Wash., will be the site of the Evergreen Stock Car Pinewood Shootout on July 11. The second derby, titled the 3rd annual Knoxville Nationals Pinewood Shootout, will take place on Aug. 12 at the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame & Museum at Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa.
All ages are welcome and car kits are available for sale for only $10. A $10 donation to the foundation is the entry fee. The rules and more information are available by visiting the Big Al Kids & Motorsports Foundation on Facebook.
Additionally, the foundation will put on its 4th annual Kick-It Dirt Cup kickball game this Saturday at Skagit Speedway in Alger, Wash. The event will be held in the track’s parking lot beginning at approximately 11 a.m. (Pacific) and will feature some of the premier Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour drivers and top racers in the Northwest. A live charity auction will take place throughout the game as well.
