Inside Line Promotions – BRANDON, S.D. (June 15, 2015) – Danny Lasoski guided Big Game Motorsports to a podium finish to close last weekend’s tripleheader with the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series.

Lasoski earned a third-place result on Sunday at Huset’s Speedway to give the Muddy sponsored team its 12th top five in 20 races this season.

“It was good to get a podium finish out of the weekend,” he said. “It was definitely a long, hectic weekend of racing.”

The weekend began last Friday at Crawford County Speedway in Denison, Iowa, where Lasoski qualified fifth quickest. However, Lasoski was on the outside looking in because of the World of Outlaws new format that splits the field into two groups.

“They are trying to do something different,” he said. “Unfortunately it bit us two nights in a row. My hats off to everybody with the World of Outlaws. They are trying to make it better.”

Lasoski finished where he started – third – in a heat race to lock himself into the main event, which he lined up on the inside of the fifth row.

“With the rain in the Midwest we’re even lucky to race,” he said. “From what I understand without the help of a bunch of farmers we wouldn’t have been able to race Friday. You couldn’t use the whole race track. They had to take two lanes of race track because it was so muddy. All in all I think it put on a good show for the fans, but I can’t wait to go back when the track is wide.”

Lasoski picked up a trio of positions during the main event to finish sixth.

Big Game Motorsports tackled Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa, on Saturday and once again Lasoski was in the wrong position. He qualified third quickest and placed third in a heat race, which didn’t make the dash. Instead it lined the Muddy backed sprint car up on the inside of the fifth row for the main event, which was delayed more than three hours because of rain.

“The Dunkin’s and crew gave us a race track that would put on a fabulous show for the A Main,” he said. “Then the rain came and it was a complete disaster. There was no other way to put it.”

Fog swarmed the track as the feature began around 2 a.m. local.

“I tightened my belts and look up and I see a bunch of what looks like smoke rolling in,” he said. “We ran the first few laps and I couldn’t see. You’re running around there faster than you qualify.”

Lasoski was credited with a 13th-place result after the feature was called following 15 laps of competition because of low visibility.

The weekend wrapped up on Sunday at Huset’s Speedway with Lasoski qualifying second quickest, finishing fifth in a heat race and placing sixth in the dash to start the main event on the outside of the third row.

“The rain was coming and I’m sure that’s why they didn’t dump the water on the track earlier,” he said. “They did all they could. They scrapped the track and made it better to start the feature, but at the end of the day it laid rubber. It was like a big freight train.”

Lasoski advanced from sixth to earn a third-place result.

Big Game Motorsports is set to compete with the World of Outlaws on Tuesday at Granite City Speedway in Sauk Rapids, Minn., before returning to Knoxville Raceway on Saturday.
