Big Game Motorsports and Lasoski Focused on Third Attempt at Knoxville
Inside Line Promotions – KNOXVILLE, Iowa (April 27, 2015) – Rain has plagued the start to the season for Knoxville Raceway, where the last two weekends have been washed out leaving Big Game Motorsports without an opportunity to compete.
“The anticipation builds throughout the week that you get to race at Knoxville on Saturday and then the rain wipes that out,” Danny Lasoski said. “That’s happened two weeks in a row so needless to say we’re all itching to go racing.”
Lasoski and the Muddy sponsored team are scheduled to return to the half-mile oval this Saturday for what will be the third attempt at the season opener. As of the beginning of this week the forecast is positive for Saturday.
“I don’t want to jinx anything so we’ll wait and see, but hopefully we can have a dry week and get back to racing at Knoxville on Saturday,” he said. “That is the best track in the country to race at and we feel very confident rolling in there so we’re looking forward to seeing the green flag.”
Lasoski is the winningest driver in the storied history of Knoxville Raceway. Not only has he amassed a track-best nine championships, Lasoski is the only driver to record more than 100 feature victories.
Big Game Motorsports has only been able to compete once in the last seven weeks. The team registered a sixth-place result during the inaugural National Sprint League event on April 11.
