Inside Line Promotions – NEW RICHMOND, Wis. (July 1, 2014) – There are ups and downs any time a new team is built.

Last week was one of the valleys for Big Game Motorsports driver Craig Dollansky and his new Big Game Treestands team, which had scored five feature victories and nine top fives in 16 races entering last Sunday’s World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series event at Cedar Lake Speedway.

“We drew second from last and the track definitely had fallen off,” he said. “Unfortunately we didn’t get qualified well.”

Dollansky qualified 20th quickest as the Big Game Treestands team missed the heat race inversion. Dollansky then advanced from seventh to fourth place in his heat race to lock into the main event.

“It seemed like the race track was more maneuverable in the heat race than the feature,” he said. “We would have liked to get a better result out of the feature.”

After starting on the outside of the 10th row, Dollansky battled for a top-15 position throughout the feature before ending 17th.

“We’ve got work to do in some different areas,” he said. “We’re trying to take it in stride and be patient.”

Dollansky is scheduled to tackle Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa, this Saturday, when the track will host twin features. Dollansky has claimed a trio of feature wins this season and he ranks fourth in the championship standings at the half-mile oval.

The event at Knoxville Raceway last weekend was rained out, which marked the third rainout in the past five weeks.
