Mark Burch Motorsports and Danny Lasoski Team Up For Unprecedented Win

Inside Line Promotions - KNOXVILLE, Iowa (Aug. 27, 2013) - On Saturday night Mark Burch Motorsports and driver Danny Lasoski accomplished something no other competitor has at the famed Knoxville Raceway.

The duo charged from eighth to garner their third win of the season, which marked Lasoski's unprecedented 100th career 410ci feature victory at Knoxville Raceway.

"It's an honor," Lasoski said. "First of all, as a young guy from Dover, Mo., population of 126, to be able to win one race at the mecca of sprint car racing is unbelievable let alone 100. When we took that checkered and came in Victory Lane, I thought, 'Man, there is nothing better.' The only thing that was missing was my wife, Debbie. I got kinda emotional to be honest."

The Mark Burch Motorsports entry was stout from the time it was unloaded. Lasoski qualified third quickest and advanced from sixth to place second in the heat race, locking the car into the feature.

"We were rolling around there pretty good," Lasoski said. "It was amazing. Mark did a great job. When he unloaded it out of the trailer, he virtually made zero changes. He had the car balanced really good."

With the top-two qualifiers failing to transfer through the heats, Lasoski started eighth in the 25-lap main event.

"The thing you had to concentrate on starting eighth is there were no slouches in front of us," he said. "If you happened to get zero cautions it's virtually impossible to pass someone on the front row."

Lasoski advanced into fourth place by the midpoint of the feature and had climbed to the runner-up position with approximately 10 laps remaining. Lasoski then took advantage of a caution with eight laps remaining to take the lead for good. He held on to the win after a late restart following an open red.

"The thing was balanced no matter where we wanted to go," he said. "That's when it's really fun to drive."

Mark Burch Motorsports and Lasoski are heading to Jackson Speedway in Jackson, Minn., on Friday and Saturday for the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour doubleheader.
