NATIONAL SPRINT CAR MUSEUM STORE OFFERS NEW BOOK “KNOXVILLE NATIONALS: THE FIRST 50 YEARS”
KNOXVILLE, IOWA (August 26, 2013) – The store at the non-profit National Sprint Car Hall of Fame & Museum is pleased to offer the new 304-page book by Knoxville Raceway historians Eric Arnold and Bob Wilson entitled “Knoxville Nationals: The First 50 Years.” The book retails for forty dollars and can be purchased in-person at the museum, which is open seven days a week, via toll-free telephone at 1-800-874-4488, or on-line at www.sprintcarstuff.com.
According to museum administrative assistant Lori DeMoss, “This has been one of the most asked-about books in the history of our museum project. It is finally done and on the shelves. We sincerely thank Bob Wilson and Eric Arnold for allowing us to retail the book in our store. We are pretty confident that it will sell quickly during our holiday gift-buying season.”
The book features one chapter on each year of the Knoxville Nationals sprint car championship from 1961 through 2010. It includes race summaries, results, black & white photos and color photos. The book is dedicated to Knoxville Raceway promoters Marion Robinson, P. Ray Grimes and Ralph Capitani. The foreword is written by National Sprint Car Museum curator Thomas J. Schmeh.
