NATIONAL SPRINT CAR MUSEUM PLANS BUSY FALL

KNOXVILLE, IOWA (September 7, 2011) - Late September and early October are shaping up to be busy times for the non-profit National Sprint Car Hall of Fame & Museum. Highlighting the agenda for the next month are twin memorabilia auctions on Saturday, October 1, one during the Lucas Oil Late Model Knoxville Nationals and one during the Williams Grove National Open in central Pennsylvania. The annual Williams Grove National Open auction is jointly held in cooperation with the Eastern Museum of Motor Racing of York Springs, Pennsylvania, while the Knoxville Late Model auction also benefits the National Dirt Late Model Hall of Fame in Florence, Kentucky.

According to museum executive director Bob Baker, “Museum special events coordinator David Herrmann will be taking the new Eagle Motorsports/Don Ott Racing Engines #9 raffle sprint car out East later this month, culminating with its appearance at the World of Outlaws-sanctioned National Open at the famed Williams Grove Speedway on September 30 and October 1. In addition, we will again be hosting a Stocksville Reunion special reception on Friday, September 30, back at our museum in Knoxville during the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series-sanctioned Knoxville Late Model Nationals, September 29-30 and October 1. It is a busy time for us, but also a very fun time as we get to reach out to many different fans and supporters in many different areas.”

Those individuals interested in learning more about the activities at the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame & Museum this fall should visit the museum’s web site at www.sprintcarhof.com. Those seeking additional information on the museum’s on-line store should log onto www.sprintcarstuff.com.
