Cox Locked and Loaded for Knoxville
Petersen Media- Over the last three weeks Clarksburg, California’s Justyn Cox has truly experienced the roller coaster of emotions.
On April 30th, the 16 year old driver grabbed his career best finish at the historic Knoxville Raceway by way of his second place run.
A week later on May 7th, the driver of the Brian Brown Racing/Oakley Products/STL No.21C experienced a vicious qualifying crash that ended his night before it ever got started.
After thrashing in the shop all week, Mother Nature dealt Cox every racers dreaded hand, the rain out on May 14th giving Cox another week to think about his crash.
This week Cox is all set for another trip to Knoxville, before a very busy Memorial Day weekend schedule next weekend.
“I’m just antsy to get back in the seat,” said Cox. “After our opening night run I was really eager and excited to try and do one spot better, but unfortunately we had a pretty terrible crash. The good thing about racing is you get the next week to forget about what happened, only in this case we had to stay home because of the weather.”
The racing action is set to get underway with hot laps at 6:45pm with qualifying set to follow at 7:15 pm.
Justyn would like to thank Brian Brown Racing, Oakley, STL ( Sacramento Theatrical Lighting ), College Cyclery, 7industries, Searsboro Telephone Company for their continued support in 2011.
