Fan Input Important to 50th Goodyear Knoxville Nationals presented by Lucas Oil

Knoxville, Iowa – Providing the best show for the fans and racers has always been the number priority at Knoxville Raceway. Fan input, driver input, owner and sponsor input always plays a key part in the decision making with regard to the governing the rules and the regulations for the sport.
In 2009 there was some intense debate on the number of laps for the Knoxville Nationals. Many conversations have been had on how to make the 50th Anniversary of this historic event special. A 50 lap race seemed like a scenario that would be well received by the fans and drivers. It stirred a lot of debate among fans, race teams and officials.
