Alan has been racing at Knoxville for eleven years now. The son of former Knoxville competitor, Adrian Zoutte, never raced in any form of motorsports before he bought his first sprint car in 1999. Alan made his first feature in 2001. He missed 10 weeks in 2002 with a broken back, but bounced back after being cleared to drive again.

Alan tied a career best with a 20th place standing in 2008 points. Motor problems sidelined him for a few weeks in 2009.
