Jason "Hotfoot" Meyers achieved his goal of winning the World of Outlaws championship in 2010 on the strength of 12 wins. He copped the World Finals in Charlotte, the Gold Cup in Chico and the Ironman 55 in Pevely.
Jason won his first career WoO feature at Knoxville in 2001. After running 2nd in the Golden State Challenge series and winning the Mini-Gold Cup in his native California in 1999, he headed out to travel with the WoO Gumout series in 2000, and captured Rookie of the Year honors. He was also the Knoxville Nationals Rookie of the Year that season.
After returning to California to race in 2002, Jason returned to the WoO circuit to finish 9th in points in 2003. In 2004, he would climb to fifth in the standings, and in 2005, he would finish 2nd, an accomplishment he would match in both 2008 and 2009 (ten wins).
