At the age of 23, RJ Johnson returns to weekly competition in 2011. RJ spends his off nights learning the mechanical side of things, often having wrenched for Wayne Johnson.
RJ came to Knoxville in 2008 having won the 2007 track title at East Bay Raceway near his Tampa home. The 2004 USCS Rookie of the Year finished 18th in the final 2008 Knoxville point standings, driving the family #71, and improved on that in 2010 with a 14th place mark.
