Career Feature Wins (410): 5
Knoxville Feature Wins (410): 4
Davey is one of the up and coming young drivers at Knoxville at the age of 21. After little success in the 360 ranks, he jumped up to the 410 class in 2007 and hit the ground running. Davey qualified for just six features in two years of racing in the 360 class, but after the jump, qualified for 12 in the senior circuit in 2007. Davey registered two fourth place finishes on his way to a 12th place points run.
In 2008, Davey raised the bar. He improved on his qualifying, and registered a top ten (8th) finish in the season ending standings. His first career win came at Knoxville, as he bested Billy Alley and Danny Lasoski to win on July 12. At season’s end, he earned the 410 “Most Improved Driver” Award.
In 2009, he finished in the top ten in point standings for the second consecutive season, and added a big IRA win at the Shawano (WI) Speedway.
Davey comes from a long family tree in the sport, following Grandfather Dave Heskin and father DJ towing from the “Land of 10,000 Lakes” weekly as a Knoxville participant. His brother Danny competes in the 360 class, and their cars are owned by grandfather, Butch Maxwell.
