“The Hitman” returns in 2009 having been the recipient of the “Most Improved Driver” in the 360 class in 2008. Since his first full year at Knoxville in 2004, Mike has steadily climbed in the point standings. He grabbed his first career feature win in 2008 at the 34 Raceway in West Burlington, Iowa with the Sprint Invaders. He plans to chase Sprint Invaders points in 2009 and mix in a few 410 starts, as well as focus on racing at Knoxville weekly with the 360, having officially retired from Mixed Martial Arts competition with a perfect 13-0 record in 2008.
A third generation driver along with brother CJ, Mike Jr. worked on his father’s pit crew at Knoxville from the age of 10. After competing in go-karts for a year and a half, it was on to sprints at the age of 18.
